Autumn 2018 Highlights
Autumn proved to be a particularly successful period or for VGA. We are pleased to announce that the club has achieved the 'InSport Silver Award’ from Disability Sport Wales, recognising the clubs commitment to providing quality inclusive opportunities for people with disabilities.
Our competitive recreational gymnasts have a had a busy competition season, competing in both the
regional and national ‘Gymspire’ competitions, picking up individual and team medals in both competitions!
Well done to all the gymnasts and coaches involved!
November saw our male squad gymnasts represent Wales in the British Club Development and Elite Grades Finals, where the boys achieved some fantastic results. Highlights included:
Team Gold for the Club Level 4 Team of Will Wheeler, Charlie Williams and Harvey Gough.
6th Place AA position for Harvey Gough, and an invitation to the British Club Development Reward Camp.
Team Silver for the Elite Level 1 Team which included Ben Scourse
7th place AA position for Ben Scourse, and an invitation to a British Squad trial.Good luck Ben!
A special mention to Ellis Barber, Evan Maddern, Owain Lewis and Morgan Lucas for achieving some fantastic performances and results in their grades competitions.
A huge well done to all the gymnasts and coaches!
